Note: We cannot provide flight training for individuals in the U.S. with a B-1 (business visitor) or B-2 (tourist) visa.
Foreign Students
Eligibility
This option applies to you if:
- You are a non-U.S. Citizen currently residing outside of the U.S. and wish to take flight training within the U.S.
- You are currently on an M-1 or F-1 student visa and wish to transfer your visa to our school to receive flight training
Requirements
International students must contact Regal Air for more information before filing an application.
Before starting flight training individuals must:
- Receive an I-20 form from the school where flight training will be received
- Receive an M-1 Student visa
- Enroll in a Part 141 flight training program
- Pass a TSA background check
- Must enroll in the course no later than 3-months prior to course start, please see the Ground School page for class dates
Training Provided
Regal Air has the following Part 141 programs available:
- Private Pilot Certificate (ASEL)
- Instrument Rating (IRA)
- Commercial Pilot (ASEL)
- Multi-Engine Addon Rating (AMEL)
Students already in the U.S.
Eligibility
This option is available If you are currently in the U.S. as a student on an F-1 (academic) visa and are still enrolled and attending the college or university stated in your visa.
Requirements
International students must contact Regal Air for more information before filing an application.
Before starting flight training individuals must:
- Show proof of legal status in the U.S.
- Notify SEVIS of the intent to receive flight training
- Pass a TSA Background Check
Courses Available
Students who are in the U.S. on an F-1 student visa in an unrelated field can only take the following training:
- Private Pilot Certificate
- Instrument Rating
