ASEL Endorsement
We can provide the endorsement and practical test needed to add an Airplane Single-Engine Land Rating to your Sport Pilot Certificate. The cost of the training will depend on the flight time required and aircraft flown. Contact us for details.
Aircraft with Vh >87 KCAS
The FAA requires Sports Pilots who wish to fly airplanes with a Vh of over 87 KCAS to receive training and an endorsement from a CFI stating that they are proficient enough to fly safely. Regal Air can provide this training and endorsement in one of our C-152, C-172, or C-182 airplanes.
The cost of the training will depend on the flight time required and aircraft flown. Contact us for details.
What is Vh?
Vh is the speed which the airplane can reach when maximum continuous power is applied in level flight.
Controlled Airspace Endorsement
The FAA requires sport pilots to have an endorsement to operate within Class C, D, and B airspace. Regal Air is located at Paine Field (KPAE), a towered airport in Class D airspace. We are also close to the Class C airspace designated for Whidbey NAS (KNUW) and the Class B airspace designated for SeaTac (KSEA). This gives us ample opportunity to practice flying in controlled airspace.
The cost of the training will depend on the flight time required and aircraft flown. Contact us for details.
Constant-Speed Propeller and High-Performance
Our 1959 Cessna C-182B Skylane is a great platform to learn how to operate a constant speed propeller. You can also use this airplane to receive a high-performance endorsement to operate airplanes with over 200 horse power.
The cost of the training will depend on the flight time required to reach proficiency. Contact us for details.
Night Flight Endorsement
Sport pilots are required to meet certain requirements to fly at night:
- Receive 3 hours of night flight training in the specific category and class
- Conduct one cross-country training flight with a landing at an airport at least 25nm from the departure airport
- Accomplish at least 10 takeoffs and landings to a full stop at night
- Hold a valid 3rd class medical or meet the requirements of BasicMed
- Receive an endorsement from an instructor stating that they are proficient in the operation of the aircraft at night
All the training and endorsement requirements can be met at Regal Air. The cost of the training will depend on the flight time required and aircraft flown. Contact us for details.
